As a part of our ongoing commitment to our local communities, each year AmeriGas donates money to local schools and organizations through our School Days and Community Care programs.
Since most schools are now out for the summer, now is good time to take a look back at how these programs impacted our communities last school year.
So far this school year we’ve donated over $90,000 to over 165 local schools, PTOs, and other community organizations. These donations, earned through the School Days program, can be used to purchase any school-related items including computers, books, sports equipment, art materials and more.
How do schools earn up to $2,000 through the school days program? The answer is easier than you think! All a school needs to do to participate in the School Days program is contact their local office to enroll and then start collecting AmeriGas Propane School Days receipts. When an AmeriGas customer receives a delivery, their invoice will contain a special School Days receipt which they can cut off and drop off at any school or organization participating in the program. AmeriGas will donate $0.02 per gallon, up to $2,000 per school in a calendar year. Schools can collect receipts for as long or as little time as they need before turning them into their local office for redemption.
